Gamma Phi Fun Facts

In 1874 Gamma Phi Beta was founded by four women: Helen M. Dodge, Frances E. Haven, E. Adeline Curtis, and Mary A. Bingham.
Gamma Phi Beta coined the term sorority.
The Gamma Phi Beta badge was designed by Tiffany & Co.
There are over 2,000 alumnae in the Twin Cities area.
Gamma Phi Beta has 179,630 initiated members.
In 1943, Gamma Phi Beta sold $15 million in war bonds to finance hospital planes.
Gamma Phi Beta was one of seven founding members of the National Panhellenic Conference in 1902.
There are 175 alumnae chapters across the United States and Canada.
The carnation was adopted as our official flower in 1888 at convention and pink was designated as the color in 1950.
Gamma Phi Beta is an international sorority having chapters in the United States and Canada.
International Headquarters is located in Centennial, Colorado.
